190 real-world Jev use cases, graded on evidence.

Jev Receipts shows what Jev does in real workflows—not just what it can benchmark. Our standard: lead with practical utility, grade every entry by evidence strength, and never make weak evidence sound strong.

Five concrete uses to make Jev click.

Tier
Technical depth

A high rank never upgrades weak evidence. Every entry keeps its evidence label.

How we grade

Each case earns 1–5 points on four separate axes, producing its utility rank. Its evidence tier is assigned separately from the utility rank, based on the strength of the available proof. A high utility rank never determines or upgrades an evidence tier: both judgments stay visible.

011–5 points

Evidence strength

Independent test with metrics ranks highest, followed by a working demo described by its builder, builder work in progress, a credible proposal, then a vendor marketing claim.

021–5 points

Economic leverage

How many decisions the pattern can handle, multiplied by the realistic cost or latency saved versus a structured-output LLM, specialist classifier, or human review.

031–5 points

Generality

Reusable patterns that travel across teams and domains score above narrow, one-off stunts.

041–5 points

Maturity

Shipped or integrated work ranks above a measured experiment; a measured experiment ranks above a proposal.

Questions, answered plainly.

What this catalogue can tell you, what it cannot, and the standards behind every receipt.

01What is Jev Receipts?

It is an independent public resource by @stepintoBEra, cataloguing 190 documented ways people are using or testing Jev in the real world. Entries are curated from public sources—including X, GitHub, papers, and other social platforms—and explained in terms of the job they help someone do.

02How do I use this site?

03How are the use cases graded?

The four tiers translate evidence strength into plain language. Utility is ranked separately, so an exciting idea with thin proof still keeps a weak evidence grade.

  • Tier 1 Independently tested
  • Tier 2 Strong evidence, with gaps
  • Tier 3 Working demo or integration
  • Tier 4 Builder’s own demo or proposal
04Is this an official TypeSafe project?

No. Jev Receipts is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TypeSafe, the company behind Jev. It is an independent project curated by @stepintoBEra.

05Can someone pay to be listed or ranked?

No. There are no paid placements or sponsorships, and no contributor has paid to be included or ranked.

06Do the grades or metrics guarantee a result?

No. Evidence grades are the curator’s judgment based on the sources available—not a guarantee that a claim is true or that a use case will work for you. Metrics are reported as published unless noted otherwise. A builder demo reflects the builder’s own numbers unless an independent test is cited.

07Is this financial or investment advice?

No. Some entries involve trading or finance, but the catalogue is for research and discovery. It is not financial or investment advice.

08Is the catalogue complete?

No catalogue like this is exhaustive. The watch is ongoing and new cases are added over time. If an entry needs a correction—or a stronger source exists—send it to @stepintoBEra on X.
